Picture
Come and do art in the heart of Tuscany!

Here in the wild side of Tuscany we invite you to get creative while getting back to nature in one of the most unique wild areas of the Italian Apennines mountains.

We offer a retreat experience based on the exploration and the development of our artistic potential and the connection between ourselves and our surrounding environment.

We present a week-long program combining the broad study of art throughout a structured timetable to develop your creativity whilst also experiencing holistic approaches to life and living in tune with our surrounding nature.
As well as organized walks allowing you to explore the beautiful region of Tuscany, we offer the opportunity to explore various alternative activities which support us in our creative process.

We welcome people who currently are involved in the arts in some way, and are willing to be involved in sharing skills during the week.

Louise Walker

"I believe in the power of nature and the healing properties it can provide for human beings.  Feeling connected to other like minded people, sharing that experience in nature and feeling unified. This retreat in Tuscany will allow an individual to express these concepts within a safe, inspiring, comfortable place, allowing deep self-expression of the past, present and future thoughts as well as developing, refreshing skills within different artistic disciplines. The retreat will be a community of people who share a similar vision and who are willing to work together and live in harmony...."

Louise is a practicing contemporary artist working in Norwich. Since graduating with a first class Honours degree in 2005, Louise has reverted back to traditional ways of working, using more sculptural, painterly, textile methods to produce her oeuvre.

As an artist Louise is interested in people and how they can express themselves through art, she has been working within the community arts setting, working with local communities, providing creative activities including arts, growing, performance etc which works with permaculture, holistic principles. Grow Heathrow is a market garden which is involved in living creatively and is part of the transition towns movement. Louise's involvement here has been to establish and expand community events on the site, developing the arts and organic growing methods.

Whilst involved in different community arts events, she is studying part-time at Masters level in Art Psychotherapy, gaining more knowledge and experience of how art can be used for healing and growth realizing that art is a primitive, creative need which allows an individual to be in touch with their true self.
